In a photographic world were online presence and social media have become common place, American Dennis Darling is a rarity; with no website devoted to his four-decades of work or Twitter feed to promote his latest commissions or projects. In fact search the internet for his name and you will return few mentions beyond that of his education — he received a BVA from Georgia State University and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago — and his current role as course director of the photojournalism program at the University of Texas, Austin, where he has taught since 1981.
I'd never heard of Dennis Darling. I discovered him this week via Wayne Ford's site and I really like his work. I encourage you to click through and have a look.
